On December 1st, Giving “back” Tuesday, the Houston Public Library Foundation in collaboration with the Astros Foundation will give two boxes of gently used books to educators, school librarians, and other literacy partners. Individuals can pick up books for an entire group!
The books can be used in classrooms, distributed to students to build home libraries, placed in school libraries, or waiting areas, etc. THE ONLY RESTRICTION IS THE BOOKS CANNOT BE SOLD.
The books are presorted into three categories of elementary, middle school, and high school. The contents are a surprise mix of fiction and nonfiction books with approximately 25 books per box. To reserve your books in advance, please complete the form at the bottom of this page.
