The Houston Public Library links people to the world, through educational, recreational, and cultural programs for persons of all ages, ethnicities, and life stages.
The City of Houston’s budget does not support any of the Library’s program activities and without adequate funding, public libraries cannot continue to evolve and enrich lives. The Houston Library Foundation matches donors with programs, solutions and opportunities that the Houston Public Library offers.
In fiscal year 2018 alone, the Foundation provided a total $2,792,417 of financial support to library programs.
