Please join us Monday, May 16, 2022, for the Beyond the Page Annual Luncheon. The keynote speaker for our Annual Luncheon is Award-Winning & the World’s Best-Selling Author, James Patterson. James is a prolific author and philanthropist who has written detective stories, thrillers, science fiction, romance, and young adults’ novels.  Patterson’s first successful series featured psychologist Alex Cross.

Patterson founded the James Patterson Page Turner Awards in 2005 to donate over $100,000 that year to people, companies, schools, and other institutions that find original and effective ways to spread the excitement of books and reading. Patterson wanted to give that opportunity to every child, so he started the ReadKiddoRead website, for parents who just can’t seem to find any good books for their child. Patterson has also set up the James Patterson Teacher Education Scholarship.

James Patterson has achieved many accomplishments throughout his career such as:

  • National Book Foundation’s 2015 Literarian Award for Outstanding Service to the American Literary Community
  • National Parenting Publications Honors Awards
  • International Reading Association’s Young Adults’ Choices Booklist
  • American Library Association “Teens Top Ten” Pick
  • London Times Book Sense Children’s Pick
  • 2011 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award, Nominee
  • Children’s Choice Book Awards
    • Author of the Year 2010 for Max
    • Nominee, 2011 Teen Choice Book of the Year (Fang) and 2012 Author of the Year (Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life)
